Contract: Obligations of the Parties
VIN-LOCK or its agent sells and undertakes to install the theft prevention system(s) described in the table on the preceding page (the “Systems”) on the Customer’s vehicle, all at the price and under the terms and conditions set forth herein.

Customer hereby agrees to purchase the system(s) and agrees to the installation by VIN-LOCK or its agent, at the price and on the terms and conditions set forth herein.

Description of the systems
Domino tracking System:
Domino Tracking is a vehicle-connected GPS theft prevention system that includes permanent window etching and body identification. It is your responsibility to inform CENTRALE VIN-LOCK within 24 hours of a theft of your vehicle in order to take advantage of the positioning service and maximize the chances of recovery which could be considerably reduced with a reporting delay.

The customer understands that the installation of a theft prevention system does not constitute a guarantee that a vehicle will not be stolen and/or that it will be recovered. In the event of theft, we will attempt to position your vehicle and forward the information to the police for recovery. The DOMINO tracking system includes a 5-year subscription for GPS connected to the vehicle (4 years for autonomous system) from the date of its installation AND registration in our database. If, during the term of this contract or after the 4 or 5 years of the complete term, depending on your system, you no longer wish to benefit from the protection, it will be your sole responsibility to have the system removed from your vehicle (within 10 days) at your original installation commerce or an authorized merchant of your choice.
Proactive VIN-LOCK Marking System:
VIN-LOCK Marking is an anti-theft prevention system by permanently marking the vehicle’s windows and major components. It is your responsibility to inform CENTRALE VIN-LOCK within 24 hours of a theft of your vehicle in order to maximize the chances of recovery which could be considerably reduced with a delay in reporting.

LIMITATION
In the event of a physical defect in the VIN-LOCK and/or DOMINO products, VIN-LOCK’s liability is limited to the replacement of the product free of charge. In no event shall any form of payment exceed the value of the product originally installed on the vehicle. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Quebec and Canada.

As a result of my request to install the Domino tracking system on my vehicle, I declare that I have read and understood the present terms and conditions. I commit to inform my insurer of the presence of said system on my vehicle and expressly consent to Vin-Lock collecting, using, and sharing my personal information for the purpose of opening and managing a client file. This file, which will be securely stored, may include, among other things: a) The provision of services and products offered by Vin-Lock; b) The maintenance of records and documents related to this agreement and any associated activities; c) The communication of information regarding the installation of the anti-theft device, including the date and details of the installation, to insurance companies to allow them to assess my insurance file. d) The location and/or recovery of the vehicle in the event of suspected theft;

I authorize Vin-Lock to share my personal information with the following entities: insurance companies, law enforcement authorities, government agencies, authorized dealers, and external service providers assisting Vin-Lock in achieving the objectives outlined herein. Only employees of Vin-Lock whose duties require access to this information will be permitted to consult my file. Any request to access or rectify my personal information must be submitted in writing to Vin-Lock at the address indicated below.
