Domino Tracking Theft Prevention System
Vin-Lock will collect, use, and disclose your personal information in order to create a customer file that will be stored in a secure database, with the specific purpose of providing products and services related to the tracking and/or recovery of vehicles reported as stolen.
This file may include, but is not limited to:
a) The provision of services and the supply of products offered by Vin-Lock;
b) The maintenance of records and documents related to this agreement and any associated activities;
c) The communication to insurance companies of information about the installation of the anti-theft device, including the installation date and details, to allow them to assess my insurance coverage;
d) The tracking and/or recovery of the vehicle in the case of suspected theft.
This data is stored in Canada and is accessible to our authorized employees as necessary.
Domino Tracking is a theft prevention system only. The location data is encrypted, and none of this data is used except in the event of theft. No location data of your vehicle is recorded without a theft report.
In the event of theft, additional information will be collected by our agents, such as your statement of the circumstances of the theft and your event number obtained from your police station. Other documents may be requested, including proof of ownership of the vehicle, proof of insurance, and proof of purchase of the Domino Tracking system. If you believe your information is incorrect, you must contact Vin-Lock to request a correction.
In the event of a theft, Vin-Lock may disclose and share all information surrounding the circumstances of the theft, the information contained in our files, the customer’s statement, and the details related to the positioning, seizure, and recovery of the vehicle with authorities, the police, customs, and insurers.
